Multiple Visual Field Exams in a Single Medical-Grade Device
Visual Field
XO Exam VFT offers complete Visual Field exam and testing (10-2, 24-2, 24-2C, 30-2), meeting Goldmann Perimetry Standards: Size – I, II, III, IV, V, and Swedish Interactive Threshold Algorithm (SITA) Faster, the most recent and fastest testing algorithm for the evaluation of Humphrey visual fields (VF).
Visual Acuity
XO Exam VFT allows the practitioner to perform Visual Acuity testing to determine the smallest letters the patient can read by presenting a standardized Snellen chart, virtually simulated at 20 feet (6 meters) away.
XO Exam VFT allows the performance of this test rapidly and efficiently, maximizing patient comfort.
Color Vision Deficiency
XO Exam VFT provides quantitative and comprehensive Color Vision Deficiency testing using Ishihara, Farnsworth D-15, Cambridge, Farmsworth Munsell 100, and more methods for a detailed analysis of color blindness and/or the patient’s ability to accurately perceive colors.
Confrontation Visual Field
Our XO Exam VFT unit performs Confrontation Visual Field testing, which is critically important in detecting brain diseases such as tumors and strokes, optic neuropathies, differentiating neuropathic from retinopathic disease, and evaluating patients with unexplained vision loss.
XO Exam VFT Confrontation Visual Field testing provides standardization, accuracy, and repeatability not achieved with more traditional testing methods.
Binocular Humphrey Esterman Visual Field (EVFT)
XO Exam VFT provides Goldmann-standard Binocular Humphrey Esterman Visual Field (EVFT) testing to aid in the accurate diagnosis of glaucoma.
XO Exam VFT provides controllable suprathreshold light intensity as low as 50 dB along with fields as wide as 130°.
Contrast Sensitivity
XO Exam VFT performs highly-accurate Contrast Sensitivity testing, a much more relevant measure of real-world vision.
Contrast Sensitivity testing measures the patient’s ability to distinguish between finer and finer increments of light versus dark (contrast).
Contrast Sensitivity is a critical measure of visual function, especially in situations of low light, fog, or glare when the distinction between objects and their background often is reduced., like driving at night.
Extraocular Muscle Motility
Our cutting-edge eye and gaze tracking technology allows precision Extraocular Muscle Motility testing to evaluate weakness or other problems in the extraocular muscles.
These problems may result in double vision or rapid, uncontrolled eye movements.
With XO Exam VFT, the patient’s eye position and movements are captured more precisely than with traditional subjective observation, resulting in greater diagnostic accuracy.

Xenon Ophthalmics XO Exam VFT visual field exam unit uses patented advancements in Eye-Tracking Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, all integrated into a wearable proprietary headset. The detachable, medical-grade diagnostic unit contains the company’s patented liquid lens technology, which can be tuned to fit each patient’s refractive error. In addition, precision eye tracking and gaze tracking software adjusts to and measures the patient’s pupil size and interpupillary distance (IPD) automatically for incredible accuracy.
